*DELL Inspiron Laptop 1525 is the real value for money...
*Friends, I am an active member of MS since two and a half years and read & posted reviews on many products and services but to be very honest I didn't buy any product or took any service after sincerely reading reviews on MS. But now I have changed my mind and started reading reviews for the products I was planning to buy. I had done good research before buying my DELL Laptop around two months ago both online and also on MS.
Also its important to mention here that I have clicked on one of the banner on MS page to reach to DELL website and after reading all the information finally decided to buy DELL Laptop Inspiron 1525.
Before that we have also done some research on many brands of Laptops by visiting some famous electronic stores like Sony World, eMall, etc and tried to gather all the necessary information of most of the famous brands to compare them on the basis of cost, configuration, performance, possibility of upgradation, etc. we have looked at many brands like Acer, HP, Compaq, HCL, Sony VAIO, LG and Toshiba. After doing some analysis we were able to finalise on HP and DELL. Sony VAIO is going beyond our small budget of 40K and I didn't found good reviews on LG, HP, Compaq, Acer. Although we already have got one HP laptop provided to my wife from her company and one assembled desktop. We were happy with the performance of the Laptop but that was all for official
purpose and technically we don't have rights to change anything in the Laptop, not even we can watch movies or listen music in that Laptop (all because of company policy). Our desktop has become quite old and it need some rest and also a companion to share its load. Hence we finally decided to buy either HP or DELL.
As we were satisfied with the performance of our HP laptop we first went to one vendor dealing in HP PCs. He had given us good deal for HP Laptop at around Rs. 37500 but without any CD or DVD of original softwares & drivers. Also the cabinet of the laptop was traditional old one and without latest features like Bluetooth, Web cam, etc. We took the quotation from him and went directly to Computer Gallery, the only dealer of DELL in Indore. There we met with a nice person who demonstrated us the features of DELL Inspiron 1525 equipped with all latest technologies like WifI, Bluetooth, Inbuilt 2MP Web Cam, Card Reader, etc. Also the look of the cabinet was attractive for us and it looked very nice with mat finish.
We discussed between ourselves for some time and finally decided to buy DELL Inspiron 1525 with Chill colored cabinet even if it was going above our budget for about 4K. Now its very important here to mention the courtesy of the dealer. He suggested us to place an online order on DELL website inspite of buying the same laptop from him. He was ready to give up his profit margin tp save our money and giving us a chance to buy the machine within our budget. After customizing the configuration and accessories he quoted us the price around Rs. 40500, later on he gave us some extra discount amd make the price of the machine round to 40K. Now we just need to make a DD in favour of DELL Inc. payable Bangalore and place the order through the dealer itself. Also he suggested us to place the order with him as some of his customers have lost their DDs at DELL. Whatever be his objective behind this, we have given him the DD and came out happily. He must be having some kind of profit margin even in this online dealing. But that's not our point of concern as we were able to buy our laptop within the budget.
He told us that we have to wait for 2 weeks and our laptop will be delivered directly to our home. But we got our laptop within a week only. We were happy to have this quick service by DELL. But one bad thing happen to us that we got the Jet Black colored cabinet inspite of our order of Chill color, Anyway the Jet Black color is also looking nice
My wife has been complaining too much that I am not giving her good
time after buying this laptop. I like to work on this machine at the
time of leaving to office and also as and when I reach to my home. I
have got addicted to this machine due to its good performance. Its also
very nice to work with Windows Vista on this machine. The speed is good
enough for general usage like MS office and net surfing. I have not
used heavy programming or designing software on this machine.

We haven't bought carry case for this laptop as we already have one extra case with us.
Suggestions -
Always buy your desktops/laptops from a company outlet or a branded electronic store. I suggest to avoid small local vendors who offer you lucrative price along with some small gifts like mouse, pen drive, etc but you will not get CDs or DVDs with original software, drivers, etc. which are very essential for your laptop at the time of any technical issue. Also these vendors do not give any written warranty on the products. One has to knock the doors of the company at last for any service issue.
I also suggest to buy your laptop with the option of insurance offered by many brands. It cost you around 1200-1500 but your laptop will be secured enough for many things. I have taken insurance coverage for 1 year which cost me around Rs. 1200 but my laptop is secure now.
Also you have to add some additional sound card or install software in this laptop coz this machine does not have good sound effect. But if purpose is using this machine for your work only then the sound quality is sufficient.*
We are enjoying working on our new DELL inspiron and recommend this machine to others also.
