I bought my Dell Inspiron 1525 during the 4th Quarter of 2011 from EBay India auction sale for Rs.19, 200/- The previous owner told me that he had finished his College studies using this laptop. Further, he said that he had replaced the Laptop LCD screen, Keyboard etc. When I bought, it was more than 2.5 year old machine and perfectly working and looked like new.
Performance wise, it's OK, above average. Though I am occasional user, I use it heavily for long hours upto 15, 16 hours. I found no problem with it for more than 4 years except recent battery not charging problem after Windows 10 upgrade. I recently upgraded DDR2 2GB to 4GB and I intend to upgrade the processor Intel Pentium T5450 1.66 GHz to available 2GHz or more processor. This laptop has already past 6 years of usage since 2009 but has not given any major problem. Just upgradation done so far. I suspect the recent battery not charging problem too might be battery death because I have not changed battery since I bought it as I was always using in balanced mode with power outlet.
