Pros:
Don't worry.
Cons:
It still is a bit scary

It has been found to be one of the most boneshatteringly terrifying things one can do in life. It is regularly visited in nightmares. But how do we take to public speaking? Is it something that is born
in people? Or can it be taught? Who knows? I believe it is a cunning mixture between the two. Public speaking is 90% talent, 10% skill. If you are a natural speaker, your style won’t need refining. However, if you are shy like me... you might need to heed my advice.

Once again, I’ll use a GOLDEN RULES format to deliver my tips.

1. The audience are probably bored, liven up their day. Have you ever attended a seminar or similar? If so, you will know that it is probably the most boring waste of time you could experience. Liven up the speech, throw in a few jokes. Be jolly.

2. Don’t bore them in the first place. Monotone bores people. Keep your voice tones fluent and fluctuating. Use gesticulation and look lively.

3. Don’t look back... Make a mistake... don’t worry. The thing which shatters most people is when they try to correct their own mistakes. It doesn’t work. Make a mistake... look on... forget about it.

4. Use whatever you can to make it good. If you have the ability to use technology such as pdfs and powerpoints, do so. It livens up a situation.

5. Practice! Do it in front of a mirror. If you do it enough times, you will cut mistakes and be more confident.

6. CHARISMA: Be charismatic. Eminate confidence, you will succeed.
