Now Speaking in Front of an Audience would be a big problem,maybe something as big as death itself.That would surely be your case,when you see the occasion as problem,and the public as critics.But my dear friend,Just take an U-Turn.See the occasion as an oppurtunity,an oppurtunity to gain attraction and voice your views(U have only been putting them to writing here).Once u see the occasion as oppurtunity,you will view the public as fans,and there would be no sort of fear.

It is on this single viewpoint, lies the key to an effective public speaking.The speaker should change his attitude,and it is simpler said.The change in attitude will come only after a lot of experiences and pains.But u better get them all,as no pains definetely no gains.So First try to acquire a positive attitude for public speaking

Actually there are four stages in making an effective speech.They may be listed as

1.Gathering Info
2.Organising Info
3.Delivering Info
4.Reviewing Info

Many people are more inclined upon the third stage,and only effective speakers garner attention by making a balancing act in all these four stages.

Gathering Info pertains to the collection of material for the speech.It may be from your own mind.It might come from the library,the internet and a host of other services.At this stage,you should take great care and should omit irrelevant matter

The most vital stage and incidentally the most neglected stage is Organising Info.Just like you cant supply crude oil straightaway to the automobiles,just like you cant drink raw water straightaway, you cannot make an speech straightaway.You should put your gathered information into processing,and organise them in an interesting manner.The main points that are to be taken while organising the info, in order are (1)TIme Constraints (2)Intensity(Humour/Pathos/Emphasis as per the need) and (3)Systematic Co-ordination of Thoughts.And once you organised them all,check out once again for misses.

The delivering info is the actual speech you make.U should put all the organising info,and get infront of mirror and deliver the speech.Now you should be careful not to try new things out here.And u should also maintain your natural style,because it is the most vital thing.You cannot expect Sidhu to deliver a speech like Sunil Gavaskar,and therefor you should speak naturally.

After the delivery,your speech is not over.You should invite criticism and opinions from your friends and family on the rehearsal speech,and if you are too shy,record your speech.A small insight on these comments/clippings would point your flaws,and you should do the best to correct them

Now you have to repeat the steps three and four,After each repitition you should gain with confidence.And once u feel that you are confident enough,who are you waiting for?.The stage is yours for an impact

And Remember to K.I.S.S with the audience(Keep it Short and Simple)
