I read your article on DRDO and also your concern about Indian Defense Establishment and its efficiency. I agree with your views to certain extent yes DRDO and ISRO are eating a large share of Public money by providing failure as by product but I personally feel it is the time where we need to stand up and support them. There may be lot of politics inside the organizations and chaos in leadership but please remember its easy to point fingers or accuse one rather then providing or finding solutions.

Please don't forget Failures are the steps for success.

DRDO and ISRO need to be supported in their tough times. We have to keep in mind that even the developed countries defense establishments face failures. I firmly believe that failures are the right steps towards sucess.we cannot depend on other countries like USA or China for our defense requirement, as it’s very easy for them to cripple us in the name of sanctions. Self-reliance and Indigenous making is the best way to stand apart.

Don't you think that Indian scientists who are working in Nasa or other Foreign Establishment has the moral responsibility to serve their mother land and demonstrate their knowledge in strengthening our nation. This country produces no of brilliant scholars, Scientist, Technicians but they are simply lured for higher standard life and money available at Over seas they forget their duty towards their country and moves out of India after their education in IIT, IIM, IIS, etc is over.

Honorable Abdul Kalam stand apart in this Crowd not only Kalam no of Young scientist and researchers in DRDO and ISRO are spending their time and energy with dedication to prove the world that their mother land is capable of everything. Dirty politics may initially succeed in stopping them from their Goal, but soon this young generation will show the world that they are second to none and they are the best.

As a young guy I was born and brought up in the slums I struggled hard to reach where I am today. I know and can understand the pain Honorable Abdul Kalam underwent. Bharath Rathna was not given to him the day he joined DRDO or ISRO but it was awarded to him after he spent all his energy for the Pride of his motherland and succeeding in it. His dedication, determination and love for his country took him to where he is today. Educated, Uneducated, Hindu, Muslim, Christian or any other religion in India unanimously accept the fact that Abdul Kalam is the most Dynamic leader and role model for them. He is one of the best Human in our times, which I hope you too will agree.

I can see your concern, yes its quiet sad truth, which I have to accept with heavy heart on spending for Arms while we need to spend on Health care, Education, eradication of unemployment, poverty etc. If our neighbors are peace loving and want to coexist in a peaceful way with us then we can stop spending on defense but unfortunately we have neighbors who want to devour us ( I also agree that Pakistan people are Good only their military and politicians are playing dirty games ) so we have no choice but to spend on Defense..

You have pointed out Politics in Defence establishment and Leadership deficiency, which need to be eradicated. I feel if we encourage no of Local Private organizations to compete against DRDO and ISRO then they will revamp themselves. Competetion will force them to perform and deliver on time. Encourage local industry to participate in defense requirement, will reduce Govt spending and will force DRDO and ISRO to deliver on time. Our valuable foreign currency spending in the name of Arms purchase will be reduced only when DRDO and ISRO become more successful let us stand together to support them and wish them all success in their future endeavors.
