Today I took the delivery of my new Hyundai Verna 1.6 Diesel SX model. Before today, there were a lot of discussions on what to get and what not to get as part of accessories. Many were promised in the beginning but as I paid all the amount for the car, promises were diluted by saying that we never spoke about the money involved in this. I agreed to pay more and more and still I get reasons and not solutions.. now the day of delivery..


I was so excited to take the drive on my brand new verna and did not look at the details in the beginning.. After the pooja, there was a person who took the car to fill in diesel so still excited about it. On his return, I saw bird poos on the windshield. Someone cleaned it up and I drove the car out of the showroom. A few metres down the road I see that the arm rest between the front seats are dirty and when I drove to the temple. I see another bird poo on the bonnet and a few mins later I see a cobweb and followed by the spider. The car has not been washed before delivery and it is extremely dirty. Imagine a brand new car within few mins of delivery looks like this. They ask for a feedback form before even showing the vehicle scheduled for delivery. I said i'll not fill in the feedback form and I signed at the bottom so that they can fill whatever they want.


Accessories promised to me while booking the car, floor mats, boot mats, mud flaps and cloth seat covers and along with this was zero depreciation insurance.. after I paid the full amount zero depreciation  insurance comes at an extra cost and the seat covers I asked for a change to vinyl leather covers from cloth seat covers (Since cloth seat covers stink after a point) and this comes at an extra cost.. At first the sales person agreed and then after paying the money all the reasons that were stated was that we never talked about the money component.. Most importantly, customer service is Worst!! Trust me.. I'm writing this review right after I took the delivery of the car today..


When I called back the sales person is reluctant and says that she would be available only tomorrow to answer queries. Now my car still does not have seat covers and I'll have to wait till Monday for the sales person's manager to come back from vacation and tuesday is a holiday for Gandhi Jayanti.. So I can as well consider that those promised seat covers are not coming..


Overall, my conclusion. I'm a lover of Hyundai cars. My previous car was Hyundai I10 and now Hyundai verna. My purchase experience has been the worst for this car and I would never suggest any person to book your car with DSC Hyundai at Nandanam, Chennai. Everything is good in the beginning with DSC Hyundai BUT don't get carried away.The bad part comes after you pay the money and book your car...


The only good thing that I can vouch for is their time of delivery.They promised the date of delivery and the car was ready by that date.Trust me the experience was not all that good
