Dear All,
This is my 2nd Dlink router that I am using, my first router I don't remember the model number but after a year of working the router just won't work one fine day, there were some issues with it and it would not transmit internet over wireless.
After that I bought this new router DIR 605 L from a local shop and I procured in DEC 2012. Now its about 9 months the router worked fine and today it just shut automatically. It wont start now, I tried all the plugin stations and also tried different adapters to start it but no power.
Then I called the shop where I bought and they asked me to call their service center. I tried calling the Mumbai call centers +91 22 3216 0234 and it is always busy, then I called their toll free number which connects you to a call center in Punjab.
After callin, g I was made to wait 20 mins before someone answered the call. I explained the problem that the router doesn't start, on which he suggested to me that I reset the router, what a dumb a** person whoever that was, ill equipped to solve my problem, its like trying to reset a dead man's memory. After that I explained to him that I tried all the solutions available but it wouldn't work. After which he muted the call and didn't answer anything.
And I called up again and the waiting time goes to 30 mins and 20 people are before me in the que. Now am I supposed to get a replacement or something because if this is the status of their after sales services then that equals no warranty because no one has time to wait all day long.
I am absolutely appalled by a multinational company boasting of life time warranties and what not, their product is faulty and after sales services pathetic.
