DLINK GLB 802C BAD PRODUCT WORST SERVICE

I have used lot of dlink products and never had to use the service support because never had any problems.But this time I need an ADSL ROUTER and I bought this GLB 802C. It was easy to set up but have some serious problems with firmware, it will not connect to internet unless I save the configuration everytime. Yes I was comiting and saving the changes but when I boot it next time although the it shows all the configuration correct but will not conenct unless I click submit at the configuration page without making any change tho.


I called up the support numer, they did not sount too technical and holded me a lot as if they were asking everything to someone else. then told me to reset and use the cd to configure and then try again and observe. I tried the changes but same problem. I called them again they issued me a number. and told me to contact service centre at okhla. When I called the sevrice centre they told me to contact their office in nehru place.After making few calls to nehur place they said they dont have the product in stock and to contact back okhle address, I did so and requested them to change/fix the router on hand so I dont have to come twice they agrred.


So I send someone to that office but they said our engineer has not come today and we will have to submit it.WOW DLINK service centre has only 1 engineer.So it was submitted after making many many calls the them after 3 days they said they have fixed the problem and product is working fine as they have checked on their own line. I got it back to home when I tried it had same problem.


I called the servcie centre they said to talk to service support. Called service support they said to called service centre again and ask them to send u latest firmware. Called servcie centre they said no firmware for this product is even available. this goes to show how technicall and updated call centre is. I called call centre again and told them there is no firmware available. said they will contact the RMA about my issue. After 4 days I got a call from dlink saying to take the router to their nehru place rma for testing who have earlier refused to replace as they didnt have it in stock, .


So after making many many calls and visiting the service centre twice Here I am with same problem and nothing has been done. I never thought DLINK is such a cheap company who couldnt replace a new router and doesnt cares about the customer at all whatsoever. They just redirect you fro one place to another, . I relised this 1600 rs product wasnt the worth the time I was spenning on it. So I just gave it up and got another belkin router from market which works great without any problems.


I have also decided to gift this dlink 802-c which is useless for me back to dliink so may be they will relaize about the patheitic service they are providing to Cutomers. Anyone that is reading this review I will not recommend buying this product unless a better firmware is available for it.
