I have been a student at DAV Pune for 12 years. The quality of education and all is good but they need to get tougher when it comes to enforcing discipline.
Students here still write and scratch on the benches which gives a bad impression about the school. And school infrastructure seems a little old; must catch up.
The toilets are not always clean, stinking half the time. Need to be renovated here as well, and by a large margin.
Few classrooms are setting up projectors but this must happen in every classroom. And projectors must not only be used for showing a soft copy of the textbooks if students forget. Projectors must be sued for proper video lectures and PPT presentations.
Teachers are mostly very qualified; there are quite a few who have enough experience in teaching. They also help the new, young teachers in structuring their lectures and method of teaching. So this school is quite good for those who want to take up teaching.
For students, yes, recommended, but 11th and 12th grade becomes too hectic. The syllabus is too vast, but it is designed by CBSE so the school cannot do anything about it. However, they need to plan a lot in advance so that they can finish syllabus on time, take revisions and give students enough time for extracurricular activities.
The canteen facility is great. Food quality is also amazing.
The only thing that you may not like here is the playground. It is too small. Thankfully, though, it never gets overcrowded.
Overall good school.
