This book has a great story, it is funny, and pretty easily understandable. There are many adventures and situations that will make you laugh, sad, and mad. This story tugs at your emotions from beginning to end.
Cyrano de Bergerac is a big nosed, short tempered, poetic lover that falls in love with Roxanne (I believe that is the name...it has been over a year since I read it) his cousin (which is ok for then) but anyway he is afraid to pursue this love because of his physical features, his nose specifically. A friend of his also loves Roxanne and is also very nervous, he asks Cyrano to write letters to Roxanne from him. Cyrano does this and puts all of his feelings into the letter as if the other guy was writing it.
Well jump forward to the end of the book and the other guy is dead and Roxanne still does not know the truth. Well the ending is very touching and I won't ruin it for you, so go read the book and you will love it.
The only downside for some, would be that it is written in Play format and as I remember it was a kind of older english but still pretty easy to read. I do recommend it for anyone that can bear the english because it is a great novel.
