This was a terribly good book, because 1: Steven King is my favorite writer, and all his books are realistic and yet unreal 2: it was horrifying to think that this can really happen... with the dog having rabies and all and finally 3: the characters in the book are very developed, and there is an extreme twist to the story.
If I were to compare this to all books, it would get five stars.
If I were to compare this to all Stephen King books, it would get a four, because Mr. King is the most wonderful writer I have ever known to be out there.
I don't want to give out the story, because as stephen winds and twists two stories and families into one, it is absolutely amazing. There is surprise at every page, and it is not one of those boring books where you will skip a single page. stephen's books, and especially this one, do not drag out, even in the beggining when everything is being described. Anyone who is afraid of dogs might have their mind injured for life if they read this book.
The main theme of the book is that these two families are not working so well, and one family's dog gets rabies. The two families don't even know each other, and it's interesting to see how they end up coming together.
Anyone who likes horror stories, or, like me, just enjoys a huge twist and a wonderful writer, will love this book.
If you liked this book, then I reccomend you read ''Pet Cemetary'' because that one is even BETTER! it is also by the King, and it talks mostly about... death. The saying of the book is ''sometimes dead is better'', and Stephen King will get you to beleive it.
