The Crossword is one of my top 3 favorite bookstores of all time-I came twice within three days and spent hours here each time. It's really a huge bookstore, but it doesn't feel intimidating at all. There's a nice open layout so you don't ever feel cornered by staggering bookshelves either.
I think what's really special about the crossword is its curation. I've never been to a bookstore where I've wanted to read almost every book I've picked up off their display tables, and even found myself reading through picks at their graphic novels and "writing for writers" tables. Prices are comparable to Amazon, so you can feel good about making purchases in the store as opposed to saving titles for later.
Their event calendar also looked pretty cool-probably by virtue of being in a pune. Regardless, I saw several that I would have wanted to attend if I were around for longer!
