My name is Wing Commander M.M. Kapoor. I am a regular customer of CROMA. I purchased a Sony LCD TV on 26-04-2012 from Croma Retail, Malad with Invoice No. SLF02A002040030902.


At the time of purchase, I was requested by Croma Staff to take additional Extended Warranty for Two Years. I was assured by Croma staff that this was a Tata Group and it stands for Trust & Reliability which has earned many'Most Admired Retailer' awards. I was further promised by the officer at that outlet that should I have serious problem with my LCD and Croma is not able to repair it to my satisfaction within reasonable period, then this LCD would be replaced by brand new LCD with same size and features or better.


Unfortunately my LCD stopped working in December, 2014(That is FOUR MONTHS from now). I am sure that this is much more than the reasonable period where one can stay without the TV.


My First Claim No. is- 154988(December 2014). After this complain some people came & replaced some parts in my LCD which worked ONLY FOR A DAY. Again, I contacted the call center & I was told that a new claim No. cannot be given since the matter is not closed. All this carried on till February, 2015. In March again I insisted on a new Complain No. & I was given a fresh Complain No.- 161897. On further inquiry with the call center, I was told that some part in my LCD is not working and a new part is likely to come by 25th March, 2015. That means, the part  they replaced in December was a old part which worked only for a day.


This proves the point of poor after sale service by a TATA  company.


I am an ex Serviceman and I have been put through enough harassment through very poor after sales service. As promised at the time of taking the warranty, our LCD should have been replaced when it could not be repaired in four months.


No action by croma taken to replace the defective LCD even after writing to Chairman & Managing Director.
