I bought lenses with this coating on my new glasses. I discovered right away that they smudged badly and were impossible to clean. I tried all of the recommended strategies and some that were not: spray and tissues I bought from the optician, detergent and water, lens cloths, fizzy denture tablets that I use for my jewelry, alcohol wipes for camera lenses(and photographers are very, very demanding about clean lenses), etc. Nothing worked. They even became smudgy when I put them away clean(as possible) in a nightstand drawer overnight.
I finally bought regular lenses at an additional cost. When I picked them up I saw a sign indicating that they were, in addition to more substantiated features, "smudge proof." This is deceptive and false advertising. I hope Crizal makes a better product sometime.
I would give this coating zero stars if I could.
