This was my most awaited trip which was advertised as 5 countries in 99, 999/- INR. Yes you can say that Cox and Kings offers best price than its peers but it comes with its own downsides.
1)No lunch included: While it was stated that the tour guide will take you to an Indian Restaurant and you have to pay for the lunch. The tour guide was least interested in taking us to restaurant and he simply was in hurry to continue with the itinerary. My advise will be you will anyways spend money for lunch so opt for a tour which offers you lunch.
2)Flight bookings went wrong: Me and my husband booked this tour and guess what our flight bookings were made under different PNR which means we were sitting at different places throughout the flight. When we contacted the tour representative at the airport regarding seats, he said that all the adjacent bookings will be from our tour and you can exchange places. But since everyone was with their family nobody was ready to switch places and during the whole travel we were sitting separately. We had informed the office that we want Hindu Veg meal but what I got was one with eggs and fish and the flight did not have enough Indian Veg meals.I have been following up with the Cox and Kings office since 2 months and still every time they reply We will update you shortly. Very unprofessional.
3)Bags not provided: We were supposed to get travel bags from Cox and Kings but they have not provided us yet and they keep telling us that once the bags are in stock we will provide you.
4)Itinerary not covered: Our expectation was that the guide will take us to different monuments and tell us their importance and engage us in sight seeing for the whole day. However we had some bad experience in some places. In Amsterdam the itinerary included Dam Square with the Nieuwe Kerk(New Church), the Royal Palace and the National Monument after the canal ride. But the guide simply left us for shopping after the canal ride. We didnot see Dam Square, Nieuwe Kerk(New Church), the Royal Palace and the National Monument we were simply dropped at a place and asked to shop if we want to buy anything and if we are expected to explore these places by ourselves we would not have chosen a tour operator. And this was the case with most of the city sightseeings.
My advise would be even if the marketing gimmick is to attract travelers based on low cost, you do end up spending money on the trip. So go for a trip which has lunch included and choose a package based on sightseeings and not just low cost.
