Extraordinary… insightful...an eye opener… With a unique perspective on management, CYCBTH is a breather for the emerging Indian business genre.

I am a management student at IMT ghaziabad (distance learning) and 5000 copies of this book were given to all our batchmates as part of student motivation activity. It indeed was inspiring!!

As for the book..Arindam Chaudhuri has the ability to enthrall his readers with his perspectives on Passion, Success, Leadership etc. True to his style a management guru with a difference has pulled off yet another one of his proverbial tricks out of his hat & left us wondering as to what we were doing all this while.

The book is an inspiration and an insight covering all significant intellectual, practical, and factual aspects in the field of management. CYCBTH will inform and entertain and has something for everyone whether he is a Learner, a Thinker or a Leader. The author’s Theory ‘I’ management is a truly unique theory as no other management guru Indian or otherwise has conceptualized and put forth an actual plan of action that the Indian business leaders must use for optimal utilization of his workforce. The excerpts & lucid interpretations of the seemingly complex Bhagvad Gita is a welcome change towards an approach to problem solving. The book is an easy read as it offers a step by step solution to most problems that other authors tend to complicate often using unheard of management jargons. A departure from the convention is the fact that here is a book that basically shows us how to use interpret & learn from our history. In the dizzying barrage of management concepts & theories leading to confusion, CYCBTH presents concepts which would help individuals & corporations in creating value & developing a competitive edge.

In his book the author draws learning from lord Krishna & Mahatma Gandhi to present a model for organizations that focuses on the principles of leadership and defines strategies for effective man management at different organizational levels. Additionally, he talks of empowering people for taking decisions at all levels. This book provides the best and the deepest insights on how to tap intellectual capital and emerge as leaders. It is designed to help managers understand & implement the fundamentals which would distinguish Leaders in the future. Coverage includes an emphasis on developing the Passion quotient in employees, motivating people, winning friends & being an effective communicator.

Arindam's People Power Philosophy is a wake up call for the Indian Business Leader and reinstates the importance of Human resources in the current dynamic business environment.

The book is a threadbare analysis of the characteristic dynamics of the Indian system & strategies for adapting to the situational necessities for effectiveness in the Indian business scenario. His work is replete with examples. The language is easy to understand and the author has stayed away from jargons. The business lessons make this an excellent learning experience with a focus on implementation which provides good guidance.

CYCBTH presents a variety of management paradoxes that challenge conventional wisdom and encourage readers to reexamine their assumptions about effective leadership. Examples of his provocative insights include: “If you think you can, you are right. Just be passionate about it. And if you lack passion, then develop it because success never comes till you are passionate about it.” “

CYCBTH provides valuable insights that will benefit any Leader contemplating or undertaking major changes to position themselves to compete successfully in the global marketplace today and into the twenty-first century.

Every business leader can profit from his thinking on Leadership. It inevitably leads you to question things you should have questioned decades before. The author is a very smart and original thinker and well worth listening to.

I say read it.. firstly because not many Indian authors write.. secondly they dont harp (from) the innate strengths and learnings from the richness of our own culture. Full marks to this one!!!
