I've read books 1-3 several times and tried to find some error in its logic. If it were truly God inspired then it would have no such errors. Personally you either believe it is God speaking or not. No middle ground. I say why not. Throughout history, according to the Bible, God has intervened in mankind and why not now. There is no apparent agenda to the book, no conversion or do as I say or else kind of message.
The message is pretty clear, we are the children of a Superior being that loves us and promises us an eternal existence. The problem with accepting this message is that people to often try and place God's personality with human traits. How could anyone forgive Hitler? What were really saying is we couldn't ever forgive Hitler and why should any God of ours. This righteous attitude is what makes us different from God. The part that simplifies this is the question about animals having a soul. God answers anybody who ever looked into the eyes of an animal knows the answer. Any pet owner can tell you they do.
Which may be simple on my part but think of the unconditional love that you have for your pet, would not a creator God have that times a million for us. I may not be a theologist or a scientist but to think that this world came about by chance and that we crawled out of the sea seems harder to believe than a Creator. And that is the only question you have to ask of yourself. I opt for a Creator.
