After seeing multiple online sites, I have unfortunately narrowed down on Collabera Tact. I opted for the DevOps course and was charged 11, 500 for it. Thought it was a good deal, as I had a good experience with Collabera training for which my company sent me. Thats where I went wrong, stupid mistake to make an assumption that every course will be good.
The first day of training, the instructor was late and then introductions took place, heard 3 to 4 American people on the call. This kindof boosted my confidence I had on them, but due to climatic conditions he got disconnected 30min before the scheduled time of the course time of 2 and half hours, hardly 1h was used to teach. Failed to judge his teaching capability.
The second day, all that happened in the session was the instructor was reading out the ppt slides and points.If I wanted to read ppts, why would I pay money and join this course? Even on the second day, 1h was spent on how to install GIT, Vagrant and Oracle Virtual Box which is nothing but a waste of time. I realized in this duration that the instructor wasnt upto the mark. I raised my concerns over the mail and phone. They talked and said that they will talk with the instructor and get it sorted OR I was given an option to join another session that will start after few days. I thought about it and decided to give the instructor another chance.
The third day, the started teaching Cloud.I am an Openstack certified resource and I am not really good at teaching. But, even I will be able to teach those concepts with ease and good examples which the instructor failed to do so drastically. In the middle of that session, I raised my concerns with him in the session itself and also dropped a mail to their support team telling them about my dissatisfaction.
The very next day, I received a call. When the executive tried to convince me and failed. Thats the last I heard of them. They do not reply to the mails or the calls. I paid money to be ignored! Huge fail on their part. They were convincing me to raise my concerns throughout the session. I was there to learn not to make the instructor a better teacher and the feedback I give will be very rude which I did not want to do infront of everyone else in the session as thats insulting a teacher- which is against my moral.
Worst of all, I referred my friend who was also a victim to such a underrated service. I live in Hyderabad, if I wanted such kindof training, I would have joined some institute in ameerpet and can vouch that even they are better. Once they hear the word "refund", you are officially on their BLOCK LIST.
Worst experience. Please stay away, do not fall prey to them.
