First regarding food at CHM Munnar
Club Mahindra Munnar is located 1 hour away from town of Munnar. So driving to town for lunch/dinner is not an option
Buffet option is quite expensive (450 per adult for members) and they charge even for 7 year old
Service in Ala Carte was poor in terms of taste and response time
Pros:
Quiet location, good service
Spacious rooms (I stayed in 1 bedroom unit)
Clean bed sheets, towels
Children play area though not too big, is OK
Cons:
Club Mahindra forces you to have buffet lunch/dinner/breakfast
Activities are announced and advertised, but all of them are not real. Almost all the activities are very expensive and do not make sense if you have your own vehicle/taxi
I would recommend that you plan your stay in Munnar so that you have at least 2 meals a day (breakfast, lunch) in Munnar town unless you want to spend 1000 Rs per adult per day at Club Mahindra.
Apart from food remaining aspects were up to the mark. Evening activities organized in activity center were quite nice.
