I am member of club Mahindra since 2009, and traveled many properties of it like Binsar, Naukuchiatal, Corbett, Manali, Goa, Coorg, Jaisalmer, Kumbalgarh and recently we visited its Sikkim's Resorts in first week of July
few properties of club is really good but others are terrible .as the member base of the club is proliferating malignantly nowadays they are getting associated many properties to accommodate increased numbers of members but many time these properties are horrible and wastage of your money.
The club Mahindra property of Gangtok Sikkim is just okay, nothing promising here except you can have good view from front rooms of upper stories. They consider their rooms as a Studio apartment, but actually It is not better than basic Hotel unit. there is no kitchenette, size of room is quite small, no sofa- cum –bed, no refrigerator only a extra diwan bed which is remarkably insufficient for 3rd adult or for 2 kids, staff was also not courtesies, my room no. was 21 which is most horrible to all . 2 kids traveled with us, so in the absence of sofa cum bed I asked for extra bed, which made the room more pathetic and crumpled . Top of this they had charged for extra bed. As most of the club members from north, south and west India and they visit Sikkim to explore the state, not just as a leisure vacation. The resort is not ideal to explore the city / state, because it is too far from city, nearest taxi stand is 8 KM far. Food here was reasonable priced but tasteless. if you calculate room charges with breakfast if costs to member 8000/- per night .
