I'm a purple member and have been a member for the past 4 years. My experience has been sweet and sour with Club mahindra till date. I had thought that I will invest 7 Lakhs and enjoy 25 years of stress free holidays with my family.
I'm some occasions in the past my experience has been very bad in some cases its been pleasant. But today I came across the fraud that the company is committing about which not many members like me were aware of.
About 2 weeks ago I wanted to book 2 rooms in GOA for 5 nights each. I was informed that despite being a purple studio member I cannot book more than 2 Hotel Units or max on Studio. Which I found very very disappointing given that I had more than 12 nights in my unused inventory.
I asked if I could have the booking in alternate resorts for which I got the same answer and the only way out for me was to upgrade my membership by paying another 2.2 lakh rs for which also I agreed.
For making a basic booking I have been following up for the past 2 weeks but never got a single response till date. the call centre needs over 20 calls before you are able to connect with someone who could help you.
After all this pain I reached out to RCI and they have offered me 2 full weeks on the same resort for the same dates for 11k each which I found very very shocking. 2.2 lakhs for a useless and unfruitful upgrade and RCI offering the same rooms at prices less than my annual maintenance cost.
TO ADD FURTHER THIS IS THE MOST SHOCKING PART. WHEN I TOOK CLUB MAHINDRA MEMBERSHIP I WAS INFORMED THAT CLUB MAHINDRA MEMBERSHIP WAS ONLY EXCLUSIVE TO MEMBERS.
FOR THE DATES WHICH ARE UNAVAILABLE FOR MEMBERS YOU WILL FIND THAT THOSE HOLIDAYS ARE SOLD FREELY ON SITES LIKE AGODA AND BOOKING.COM
BOOKING.COM IS SELLING NIGHTS AT EMERALD PALMS GOA FOR LESS THAN 3K PER NIGHT. CLUB MAHINDRA - DO YOU THINK MEMBERS ARE FOOLISH HERE MY AVG COST IS OVER 10-11 K PER NIGHT( INTEREST PA JUST ON MY CAPITAL INVESMENT WORKS TO OVER 70K PER ANNUM+ EVER INCREASING ANNUAL COST WHICH IS CLOSE TO 13K CURRENT YEAR) THIS IS LEAVING ASIDE THE CAPITAL WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT CLUB MAHINDRA WILL NEVER RETURN)
NOW THE SAME INVENTORY IS SOLD TO NON MEMBERS PUBLICLY FOR LESS THAN 20-25% OF MY COST. IF THIS ISN'T FRAUD THEN WHAT IS IT?
