People.....People....People, well one thing many of cant stand while watching the idiot box would be the comercial section of this media, be it while watching Cricket, News, Kyunki Saans Bhi...,
or one of the M Masala programs (looks at his watch if it sez 23:00). And the obvious answer to that would be unwarrented interuptions..
and mainly because of nonsense in its most obvious form....But then here is one add that puts the product of discussion in a very presentable format. Dissect it and you have three key elements...
1) The Theme Tune of the add asking you Aap Close Up Kyun Nahi Karte Hain?.
2) The Guys and Gals in the add...( who are picture perfect for the idea)
3) The add agency who came up with this one have come up brilliantly.
Lets see the third point and the first observation I can put forward is that :- when compared to other products in the same category of advertising, this is one add that does not say that its effective for 27Hours a day or that its Vegetarian or Fruitarian,
or that its recomended by an African Witch Doctor who uses Neem twigs to brush his own teeth.....or any nonsense like that. It just says that here is a tooth paste...its called Close up....It cleans your mouth when you brush, It gives you a good fresh breath after the process and thats it Period!
So All I can Say is Kudoos to the guys who came up with this add.....Congrats to the Close Up people for getting such a good add firm to do their publicity.
And Oh there might be a rare case that some one might raise the question of what sense the add carrys and here is the reply to that....As far as I am concerned I make a decision on a product based on my personal satisfaction and not on the basis of its add campaign...so the issue of sense and sensibility is not called for....and hey an advertisement is also supposed to give your eyes a short brake during those highly concentrated eye storming sessions we have with the idiot box.....So thats It People...........Adios!
