Beware! Beware! Beware!
In case you are planning to take a membership for Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa through rmvgroup(rmvgroup.in) then please read this and then decide.
I had taken a 1 year membership for Clarks Exotica through rmvgroup recently. As part of the membership package they give you couple of Day Stay coupons which includes breakfast.
Couple of weeks ago I called up the rmv booking number and spoke to this lady named Ritu. I asked her to book me a room for a Day Stay on 3-Sep. Since I did not receive any confirmation email from her I called back after a week. She told me that the room is confirmed but I would be getting the room only after 1 pm. I was not ok with that since firstly it is Day Stay package so the room should be given by 9:00 am, second breakfast is served only until 10:00 am and third I have a 4 month old kid. They told me they would take care of that and I again insisted on her sending a confirmation email since I did not want to take any risk. Since I did not receive any confirmation I called back after a couple of days. This time I spoke to somebody else. He also told me the same thing that the room is confirmed for 3-Sep and I would be getting the room only by 1:00 pm since the previous day was completely booked and the check out time was 12:00 pm. Since I was insisting that I need the room by 9:00 am he said that it can be arranged for 5th. I told him to move the booking to 5th and send me a confirmation email. Again no confirmation email. So I call back after couple of days and speak to Ritu again. She tells me the same thing my booking is confirmed for 3-Sep and I would be getting the room only by 1:00 pm.back to square one. I gave a piece of my mind and asked to confirm the booking for 9:00 am on 5th and for the humpteen time I gave her may email id and asked her to send me a confirmation and she promised to do so by EOD. As usual no email. So I call up the next day and spoke to the rmgroup program manager Gajanan. He was not very courteous. I explained what the problem was and asked him about the confirmation email. He got back saying that the room was confirmed for 5th and they Ritu did not send the confirmation since she did not have my email id. Wow!
So finally I call up Clarks Exotica and spoke the the sales person Stanley. Initially he asked me to talk to Gajanan. But I insisted that since it is their club membership being marketed through rmvgroup it is his responsibility to ensure that the membership terms and fulfilled. So he agreed to speak to Gajanan and within 10 minutes I receive a confirmation email from rmvgroup confirming the room on 5th from 10:00 am.
Well this is my experience after paying 8000 for a 1 year membership. I have been to Clarks Exotica couple of times and it is a nice resort but their membership seems to be a just a big scam.
