I had different questions before perusing this book. The majority of it was revolved around this idea'Another Twilight'. Be that as it may, I at long last chose to peruse it and OH MY.It was the most sublime book I had ever perused!
City of Bones, book 1 of The Mortal Instruments(MI) series by fanfic-writer turned commercial author Cassandra Clare, is a fast paced, enjoyable-but flawed, Young Adult book to read.
The story takes place in New York, with an opening of ordinary 15 years old girl Clary Fray accidentally witnessed a boy being slayed by three other teenagers, but the teenagers insisted the boy they slayed was actually a demon. Clary then learned that apparently unbeknown to non-magical humans, there was a Shadow World where vampires, werewolves, fairies etc(called Downworlders) coexisted with Shadowhunters-humans who could command supernatural powers, who also hunted rogue Downworlders. Last but not least, there were also The Circle, an extremist group of Shadowhunters who wanted to wipe out Downworlders to purify both Shadow World and the world of mortals.
It's stunning. Each section, each word. What's more, obviously the characters are what made this book all the more flawless!
I truly appreciated hopping into this book with Clary. My most loved character is not the legend however, its the closest companion.
