I dont have much experience with Citibank Cards but so far they have proven to be tricky to deal with. I got my card through Sears. I was offered six months without any interest and I made a rather
large purchase at Sears (a little over $1000). Thank goodness for the six months. I went online to pay my bill and I enrolled in the online bill pay. Ive done this with a number of credit cards and Ive never run into any problems before. I expected to be able to pay my bill. Next Im sent to a page that says "For security purposes It will take 6 business days to verify your account". How irritating. But six business days is not that big of a deal. So Ive been checking in periodically to see if I could make the payment and lo and behold, six days pass and I can make a payment. I wanted to pay off the entire amount in one payment and forget about this whole card (the non-introductory rate is ridiculous!). I go to make the payment and Im sent another message that says "For Security Purposes you can not make a payment over $1000. It will be 15 business days before another payment can be made to this account". I thought my security clearance had already passed with the initial 6 days but I guess I dont know the special handshake. Beware to those who make payments close to their due dates and for those who want to make several payments in one pay period! There is no reasonable explanation for these policies other than to cause people to miss their payments and increase their rates and fees. I will NEVER use this card again.
