I have been a
Cingular Wireless Customer for over 7 years now and I have always been happy with them. recently they even merged with AT&T Wireless and now my reception is even better than before.
I
have used the www.cingular.com online service since it has been available to use. I pay my bills there, order new cell phones there, and email customer service and order accessories for my phone as well as ring tones for my cell phone. I have always found the site to be easy to use and with not many problems. Granted, there is an occasion that there is a problem, but I can call the 800 number and get my problem taken care of by an always courteous and polite person.
The Online Storewww.cingular.com is one of the easiest online stores to use in my book. As mentioned above, I have never had a major problem at all with them. I can and do pay my cell phone bills there each month with no problems. Bills? Yes, my daughter and I both have cell phones with them and both under my name.
When you go to www.cingular.com you will always find their home page to be very organized because they have it laid out so you can find your needs quickly. Across the top of the home page or any page for that matter, you will find links that will allow you to sign in (or you can sign in just underneath this area), Shop Cingular, Media and Services, Business Solutions and Customer Service. Each link takes you to another page full of information for your possible needs.
I usually sign in at the Manage Your Account found on the home page. There are 3 blocks for your cell phone number and then another one for your password just underneath those. Very easy to do. I can always check my account with such ease and a secured feeling. I know my information is always safe.
I can check my current cell phone minutes or upgrade my cell phone plan if I need to. The cell phones plans are pretty detailed with prices and easy to follow. You can set up Auto Pay, add a Line to your account (for family share), add other features and view your past bills. All are very easy to do.
You can pay your bill with any credit card or check or ATM card. You can order a cell phone and accessories and a cell phone plan and have it charged to your Cingular Bill. You can even order ring tones and games and graphics and have them charged to your bill also. I have done this many times and love the convenience of doing so.
If you want to just check out their ring tones and graphics you can do that from the home page as well. There is a special box for these. After clicking on that link you are taken to a page full of various choices. You can listen to each ring tone before buying and you can view a graphic before buying as well. Of course you have to have compatible Cingular Cell Phone for these features to work. You can check for this on the website easily.
If your phone will not work with the new features offered and if you are a Cingular Customer and now an AT&T Customer you will be told such and you will be offered an upgrade for a cell phone that will work for those features. If you are not in the market for a new cell phone you can pass up this feature with no problems. Any link across the top will take you to another place. Just realize that with the newer technology, old cell phones may not work properly any longer. The choice, of course is yours.
What I DoAfter I sign in I usually pay my bill first. However, throughout the month, sometimes, I look for new ring tones and graphics. Some are even free! During the Christmas season I got a free game downloaded to my new cell phone as well as a free Christmas ring tone and a free Christmas graphic. It was just so easy to do. I listened to the ring tones and then clicked buy and in just a few minutes I got my free stuff.
I can and do watch for new cell phone technology for the Nokia Brand Cell Phone. Since that is my favorite brand I watch for this a lot. When I got my most recent phone about a month ago I got it for 1.00 with free s/h and an upgrade fee of 18.00. Sometimes this fee is waived, but rarely.
I did not have to sign a new contract with them because I have been with them for so long now. I guess sometimes in life one can have a perk or two along the way. When I ordered my daughters new cell phone just this week there was a problem on the site and I could not order from online. I had to call Customer Service to place the order and from there I had no problems. I still got the same cell phone she wanted and for the same free price. They charged the upgrade free to her bill and gave us free s/h for her new cell phone as well. Her phone will be here this week. She is a happy camper because her old cell phone is outdated and the service stinks for her for the most part. And that happens sometimes because of the newer technology in cell phones.
How I FeelI have ordered 4 cell phones from the online store over time and have always received the best possible deal that sometimes only the online store offers. My upgrades are free so long as I choose one of the free upgrade cell phones. There are many to choose from various companies. I always choose a Nokia and my daughter likes the Motorola cell phones. We both have accessories for both type of phones that we can keep using. Sometimes there is a charge for a new cell phone and those range in various prices according to what the cell phone does. Erica got a free cell phone with a camera! I was jealous because Nokia didn?t have one at the time I ordered a new cell phone. And hers is a flip phone, which Nokia didn?t have either. Oh well, I got over it!
Of course with the upgrade the service is always better than before. New technology you know!
There is just so much to look at and to choose from at www.cingular.com and you will just need to go and check it for yourself. Over all I have always been happy with www.cingular.com and will continue to use the online site for all my cell phone needs.
