As told friend (in review on Golmaal) I am back with another review of my choice _ which feel happy to write about.
This is about the GHAS BHUS DOCTER and his ANGREESE FRIEND.
This again
one of the best movies from Hrishikesh Mukherjee _ as mentioned in my review on Golmaal. This is one of the masterpiece movies of his.
PLOT
There are two good friends one a famous Botany professor Mr. Parimal Tripathi (the muscle man Dharam) and the other an English professor Mr. Sumkumar Sinha (the angry young man Amitabh).
Tripathi meets his luv in a botanical garden (Sharmila) _ the scene is so well done that Parimal acts as a watchman of the same guest house his luv is staying. Then Sharmi comes to now he is Parimal the famous Professor and falls in luv. They get married and there the Pandora box opens.
Sharmi’s got a smart Jijaji _ who is proud and speaks only pure Hindi and very sensitive about the language. He couldn’t attend Parimal’s marriage and so Parimal plans to visit Sharmi’s “Jijaji”. So the Parimal plans to play his smartness with “Jijaji”.
With the help of Prashant ( Asrani) _ Parimal gets in “Jijaji’s” house as his Driver _ the first scene where he drives his car is so humorous that _ you will till you cry. Parimal acts as his Pure Hindi driver _ who’s got a keen desire to learn English. His questions about some English phrases and syllables are taken care with so much fun.
Then the arrival of Sharmi _ after that it’s all fun and laughter. The scenes with the driver and Sharmi makes the “Jijaji” thing so many things _ even reaches the point of running way.
On the other side Amitabh is acting as Sharami’s husband and he arrives after the stage is set and acts upset after his wife is missing and stays Prashanth. The other story begins there he falls in luv with Jaya _ a Botany Student. She asks him to help her in her studies and Amitabh is in full fix. It’s done so marvellously that he teaches her Botany with the English grammar and language. Its so fantastic _ with the Ghaas Bhus Doctor. He is in such a stage of pity he cannot teach her Botany and neither can he express his luv for her. Then it’s all fun and laughter _ it’s got all that you need in a Good movie. The dialogues are superbly crafted and the music at its best.
The songs are melody to listen _ with Lata at her best and its always my favourite ones.
STARRING
Amitabh, Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bhaduri, Om Prakash, David & Asrani. All have done a natural and down to earth acting which makes the movie n’joyable at any time of the Era.
This is movie also the credit goes to the Cable TV’s for showing it ‘n number of times and proud to say not missed even once _ I have been a happy viewer.
Do let me know the English and Botany of this film in your reviews and comments

Denny
