Christ University, An over-disciplined college. Review on Christ College, Bangalore

Christ College - Bangalore Experience I have completed my 4 years at this university and I think I can give you the most honest review about the environment I have lived in.

The first thing I want to mention is the Campus. Right now they have three campuses, two in Bangalore and one in Lavasa. All three campuses are very beautiful with a lush green environment and I am proud to say that they are the cleanest campuses I have been in my entire life.

I was in Kengeri Campus because that is the only one where they offer Engineering.

They offer 6 main programs in engineering

For Admission, they conduct their own test during May.

Since the Engineering College has started only 7 years back, the college is relatively new.

Now I will talk about the teaching faculty. A few professors are experienced and a lot of them are just M Tech pass outs without any prior teaching experience. The labs are well equipped and it's up to you how much you can make use of them.

Sports activities include:

Football

Cricket

Basketball

Volleyball

Badminton

Tennis

There is also a couple of cafeteria inside the premises.

The hostels are on the campus only.

At last, I will come to the student life and the over discipline.

You require 85% attendance in order to sit in the exams. If it's less than 80% you are not allowed to write the exams no matter what is the reason. Above that also you have to pay fine for every small thing and the amount increases every year like inflation.

The management controls everything like corporate and never listen to the student problems and the situation is the same for the professors so even they can't help their students. Also if you live in the hostel they won't allow you to go outside during college hours or after 9 at night.
