To choose a best hotel it is required to notice the behaviour of the staff as you are going to deal with them for certain days and the food or meal prepared at there so go for trial meal there, if you are going to stay for more than a week. As the best hotel must contain well mannered staff, quality food , cleanliness, guidelines for visiting nearby sites, making you feel like home offering small things like news paper,arranging conveyance for you etc. Moreover they must offer you something more than your money value. Check the room you wanted to take , bathroom, room service,facilities provided by them.
                                                      I was very young when i went to nepal with my parents, we stayed in a hotel which is very popular and named best at there but the problem arise relating to food as there was lot of difference in the meal and they are not offering us the quality food as they committed earlier. All facilities are fine but not up to the mark so there we decided to check all related things first and then go for stay.
Little things makes you feel comfortable such as boot polish facility, laundry facilities,air-bus-railway ticket confirmation or reservation facility,city sites,asking for any changes customer want to made, hair salon , offering small gift to the customer (gift may not be expensive but should be attractive so they remember your services for whole life through that gift and recognise you)etc.
According to me its all like that just a small own world.
