I had purchased an IFB Washing Machine from a local dealer in Delhi. Upon installation itself we had several problems with the technician. After that, the machine worked well for about 1 year. Then the
PCB gave trouble. It was replaced after many phone calls. It still did not work properly. The washer was working but the spin dryer did not perform. We were then told that the spin dryer motor had packed up. Then came the endless calls made to different people at different levels. We eventually wrote to their head office in Kolkata through e-mail. We followed it up with a phone call to the service manager (Delhi) who told us that the whole gear box had to be replaced. Its about 2 weeks now and we are handwashing the clothes. Its really inconvenient as both of us are working and we have no time in the morning for this additional task. The kids need to get to school in time and we then need to rush off to office. They have promised to set this right next week. Lets see how they respond next week.

In my honest opinion, don’t buy IFB. Customer Service is really poor, parts are not available readily and we get really poor attention on the phone.
