Your budget obviously play a very big part in deciding upon a washing machine. Also, dimensions of the area where you're going to place the machine. Fully automatic machine vs Semi-automatic should be resolved first. I personally prefer semi-automatic because of it's lesser price and greater flexibility during the wash, but that is just personal preference. Some people may just be too busy or lazy to'babysit' a wash and so full-automatic may be more suitable for them. Another thing to be decided is front-loading vs top-loading. I personally find both equally user-friendly but some say front loading washes better, so you may have a look there. Decide the drum load capacity of the washing machine according to your normal needs and NEVER overload the machine. If all these basic guidelines are followed then whatever you choose as your machine will serve you well.
