Power and Looks

Prefer energy efficient ones, star-rated are available in

the market. Look for 3-star or above rating even if it costs little more. Also Auto-defrost

uses around 23% more energy.

Various designs, colors and Metal coated refrigerators are

available. I prefer average looks since a little increase in the looks would

cost much higher price.

Warranty, service and stability

Most of the companies available provide similar period of warranties

so this would does not matter much. Look for old companies which have a good

base.

Choose the one which has a proven for long run.

Dual door (Frost free) Vs Single door*

Dual door uses around 23% more power than single door so if

you are concerned with heavy electricity bills then please think again.

No company in the market has Single door with auto-defrost

facility (at least when I bought). Auto-defrost prevent ice forming on food,

bad smell, non-sticking etc...

Dual door occupies more volume and weight so people living

in rented houses should consider this.

Choosing Brand

Go for the one which has good history. I am currently using godrej eon

from past 18 Months and am very happy with it. Below is my preference,

Godrej (eon)

LG

Thanks
