Whirlpool Purafresh Elite - not so elite

I bought this water purifier about 5 months back and have stopped drinking water from it. After I started drinking water from it, I experienced the worst acidity problems in my life. Initially I suspected its because of some other reason and took ayurvedic and alopathic treatment. I was on Gelusil for quite sometime.

Then I went out of town for 15 days, where I was taking non-RO water in the trip. I was quite stable during that period. When I came back home and started drinking the RO water, again the acidity problem started. I suspected its because of RO water and have stopped drinking it.

I can see dramatic change when I dont drink RO water - my stomach is as normal as it used to be always. Then I called the Whirlpool engineer to test the TDS(Total Dissolved Salt) of the filter water o/p - It was around 5 PPM - which is close to what a pure distilled water is! I think that's why it upset my stomach. I have heard that Kent RO gives an adjustable RO membrane where you can set the RO membrane size - which can give more safer RO water to drink. I strongly urge you test the RO water on your palette before you buy
