Recurrent problems, poor service

We bought this dishwasher last July. It first broke down after 6 months of usage. Although the service staff were responsive and courteous, they do not seem to have any  spares and have to wait for over 2 weeks for supplies from the Delhi or China office. After a month of not being able to resolve the problem, we had insisted on a replacement which they had obliged. Now, another 6 months later, the second machine again gives the same error msg and does not function. After the initial visit, the service centre is silent and  does not answer calls. The only way I get information is by contacting the technician who had come the first time when the machine got replaced.


When it works, the machine does a great job. It has many features and looks good too, with an inox finish. But once it develops a snag, the company has no clue on how to solve it. Technicians are not properly trained and just resort to guesswork. The branch manager is a very service-oriented, but does not have the necessary back up of a good spares and service network. I have to only keep my faith in him now and hope for the best.


My advice to those looking to buy a dishwasher - go for Bosch or Siemens, which sales staff say are reliable and of better quality, albeit costing a few thousands more.
