Great product and wonderful service

I have Siemens SN25L880EU/23 Dishwasher. Bought it in 2014 Sept-Oct time frame. Using every week. Great, spotless, sparkling cleaned dishes and utensils. This one has A+ rating and is slightly older model perhaps but has vario speed/half load.

There is no need to scrub dishes(defeats the purpose of having dishwasher.right?). But do follow the instructions properly, detergent, "rinse aid" combination has a big role to play.along with cleaning of the Dishwasher itself(not often). I insist on dumping the food particles like bones, curry leaves, rice left overs etc before putting them(facing down) into the cages/drawers, including soiled Kadais and pressure cookers but not aluminum. Otherwise the filter gets choked and we will have to clean it after every wash.kind of common sense right:)

I am using Finish brand detergents but "rinse aid" seems to have gone out of stock. Intend to try out IFB brand, Prismat apart from importing Finish:(

There are 3 drawers/shelves.topmost specifically for cutlery. I purchased additional pipes both for inlet and outlet(slightly expensive from the technician, actually told him to carry before he visited my place)

When I researched for Dishwasher, apart from what is available abroad, in India I decided for either Siemens or BOSCH(although almost all have alarmingly poor review of after sales service). This product is imported from Poland. I read up the manuals before deciding on the brand.saw a few videos.

I have 16amp Anchor plugs(had to cut the European plug that came along with the machine) or you could go for Crab-tree. have the best wiring and a V-Guard Stabilizer(you might not need it). Just wanted to make sure that a foreign product is treated the way it is expected to be(unlike Chinese Products).

Has greenish finish to the front door, different from other stock dishwashers. I have been using the Auto mode successfully.also tried half-loads without any issues. I couldn't believe the shine I am getting on my old utensils.no residue, spots or any bad taste. From what I have found out so far, it does seem that dishwasher machines are not the problem. it is more about the combination of our handling, usage, ability to follow instructions strictly.and quality detergents, rinse aid combination.

I have personally seen how the myth of "Indian curry not suitable for European Dishwasher" fell apart.from own experience. That said, haven't tried a heavily soiled Kadai with heavy burnt butter, lipids left to dry for 2 days and then put into washer;) Make sure the Kadai is not aluminum if you are using Finish.

Keep faith on the Product and the brand name.not on Service personnel, Service Call Center.not even the showroom(have mixed experience). I had good interaction with a couple of folks at Bangalore SIEMENS showroom.but still left a lot of room for improvement(subsequent visits). I believe SIEMENS products(the good ones - dishwasher, dryer) are being let down by sub-standard support, sales people and untrained technicians here in India. I knew more than the technician before the mandatory visit(courtesy extensive study, manuals, videos).and made sure I monitored his movements.

BTW, whichever brand you choose/or have chosen already.make sure that you examine the product after delivery, for any physical damage.you should get a free replacement if there be any damage(must before you start using it\technician comes for installation). My dishwasher has a wooden top which seems to have been dented.only just slightly.very difficult to catch initially. interestingly, I thought that it was the design.but after examining it again and again, realized that it is indeed a dent.

I went to showroom, guy didn't know what I was talking about but I was least bothered.I went to check if the piece, that was on display, had the dent or not. The sales guy showed the product, ran his fingers on the top and said no dent. I tried my approach, at a slight angle to the focus light.sure enough I could see the dent.the guy to his utter disbelief ran his fingers again(guided by me) and sure enough realized the dent(lol)! He lamented that all these products are imported and the loaders are very careless.the just drop one heavy machine on top of another, creating the dents and other physical damages.

He noted down my details(recent customer).and told me the table top will be replaced.yet to get any or hear back from him(3months). But let me tell you that I am least worried about the dent.it is so mild and carefully done that unless pointed out specifically it will be easily seen as a design or not able to spot it at all. No problem or impact to the machine.I am happy with it, so far dented table top or not.
