You'll love to cook

I have never before in my life had brand new appliances. I was now in a position to buy them and sice I feel they will last the rest of my life, I bought everything the way I really wanted it. My stove is a Whirlpool as well as all the rest of the appliances I bought.

For one I like the brand and another the man that runs a certain appliance store I have known half my life and he gives me a big discount.

No choice for me between gas and electric. Gas is nice if the power is out you can still use the stove but versus the dangers of it I only buy electric. It cooks fast and clean and I don't have to worry about gas leakages or getting sick from the gas.

Okay when I bought this house about 6 years ago it came with appliances. The stove had a microwave on top all in one unit and I loved it so I tried to get the same thing again but these are now obsolete and are no longer sold. My microwave had bit the dust and only 2 stove burners worked so I really needed a new stove and microwave. I had to get the mike seperate.

Anyway I told them what I wanted in the stove and they had to special order it but it was worth the wait.

When you buy an appliance consider the price versus how long you think you will be using it. My old one was probably 20 years or more old, so I figure the new one will last as long and at the age of 55 in 20 years if I am still alive I probably won't want to cook anyway. LOL!

Know what features you want and take the plunge and get it.

I wanted one that was as close in looks to the old one as possible and I have a 50's theme in my kitchen so have alot of black and white stuff. So I told them I wanted a black back with push pads, white in between, black smoke top with burners hidden to save cleaning then some white and a black oven door and a white bottom part for pan storage. They may have thought I was a bit nuts but they found me one, somehow.

Not only does it look exactly as I described but it came with extras such as a light to see into the oven without opening the door, an automatic preheater that beeps at ya when it is ready to bake and so on.

I am a nut about programming anything and the more bells and whistles and pads it has the happier I am . The oven is self cleaning and no burners to clean so I love it. I am a very busy person and the less I have to clean the better.

So my advice is get the best, make sure you get a warrenty and send the card in and ask for extras such as I asked if they had cleaner for the top of the stove so it would not scratch and they gave me a bottle free to try.

Also make sure the seller is good at backing his merchandise and will come if there are any problems and when they deliver your stove have them show you how it works. That may sound silly but all stoves are not alike. If you don't know how to program something like this it will not work. They do of course include a handbook to go by but it is so much faster to just have them show you.

This is my 99th review and I am working on a special one for my 100th so watch for it soon.
