It’s not on a daily basis that someone of my status gets to savor one of the finest scotch whiskies in the world, but good fortune came to me the other day masquerading as a bottle of Chivas Regal Premium Scotch Whisky.
To say that this whisky outdoes all the others hands down would be the understatement of the century. And it’s not that I was into Narangi & Mosambi all my life. I have had the gratification of nipping some of the superlative whiskies in the world, but the Chivas was in a class of its own. The smoothness with which it moves down the esophagus is orgasmic to say the least. One of the very few whiskies that you might actually consider sipping neat without the aid of sodas or soft drinks.
Of course the price is a trivial constraint but as they say good things come to those who wait. And after waiting for over 5 years (that’s how long I’ve been sloshed) Chivas was akin to the proverbial water to the thirsty man in the desert (there are grosser representations that could be derived, but let’s not get into that).
Anyways, here’s to the Chivas Brothers of Aberdeen. May your tribe increase. Hic hic.
