I am also one of those NRIs joined my daughter after hearing that CHIREC is the greatest school in Hydarabad. But it took me only 6 months(actually even less) to figure out that the standards of the school are no where near what you expect from such a "HIGH FEE" school.
Even though we figured out that the school standards are not good we patiently waited for four years expecting that:
Standards will improve.
Due to lack of information about other better schools.
These four years was a real test for our patience in terms of:
Very poor communication.
Very unethical increase of fee hike rates(15 to 20% each year).
Very bad quality of teachers. If you complain they rotate the teacher from section to other section. It all depends where your kid will be in the musical chair.
Only talk but no action principal(talks smoothly for hours but no action).
Collecting so many fees on top of hefty activity fee they charge.
Conducting school on a holiday so that they know many kids wont turn up so that they can save some money on food(yes, take my word - If there is a holiday on Friday, they will open school on Saturday just meet the number of working days).
I can list many more things but space wont permit.
Please don't be deceived by some 5 star ratings given in this forum, I strongly believe they are posted by one of the school proxies.
One more very important note: By all means avoid Gachibowli campus, your kids valuable 2, 3, 4 years will be wasted depending on how long you continue there.
There are definitely some better schools out there which charge fairly less(if not a lot) and give better education(keep in mind there is no perfect school in Hyderabad that gives BEST education). You just have to be patient to inquire and figure out.
Unfortunately name of CHIREC comes to NRI's minds as one of the first option, as it had some very good name in the olden days, but the quality deteriorated exponentially over the years.
NRIs: Avoid this school by all means. Please spend some time in getting info about some other schools like: Future kids, Sancta Maria, Sree Nidhi, Manthan, Oakridge, Bharathi vidya bhavan, Obulreddy, DPS etc.
