I have been into cartoons and animes since my childhood. Be it Tom and Jerry, Naruto Shippudden, City Hunter or Pokemon, I have seen a lot of anime series in my life. None, however, matches the level of absurdity that Chhota Bheem displays.
Okay, the cartoon series is about a 9 yr. old kid named Bheem, affectionately known as Chhota Bheem. He is gifted with superhuman power and can defeat goons in a split second with his absurd power. Along with his friends Raju, Jaggu, Chutki, Kaaliya, Dholu and Bholu, our hero carries out multiple adventures in the fictional kingdom named Dholakpur. Kaalia is jealous of Bheem's popularity and tries to plot devices to disgrace him. Infact, this forms the crux of many of the episodes.
Besides the above characters, there are few minor characters such as Chotta Manu, Keechak, Tuntun Mausi( famous for her ladoos and the source of Bheem's immense powers as well), Professor Dhumketu etc. They also play a vital role in few episodes. There is a good fairy, whom Bheem contacts time and again for seeking advice on important matters.
The story line is extremely predictable and the characters are extremely shallow. Unlike Doraemon where we have a majority of the episodes focusing on themes like friendship, preservation of nature, global warming etc., this series just concentrates itself on weird goon-beating plots. The worst character of this series has to be Raja Indervarma, who is so inept that he needs the help of Chhota Bheem for almost every danger that looms over his kingdom.
Overall, the series is fairly predictable with incredulous characters. Unlike the other Japanese animes, this series provides little knowledge to the audience.
