I had a Qualis and loved it. I wud hav continued with toyota, but the innova is downright
UGLY; the flat (bald(!!!)) sides are prone to scratches/dents in the crowded metropolitan roads of kolkata.
It looks like a toad. I test drove a scorpio, nice exteriors but cramped interiors. The indigo returns the typical diesel-engine hum of its makers of famous trucks! Endeavour was expensive. I settled for the Tavera.
Tavera is a good SUV. Good fuel economy within city (where it really matters)! But there are certain areas where attention is required:
1. HEADLIGHTS: very poor range, specially felt when driving through rains.
2. DEALERS: Servicing is not SATISFACTORY. (U hardly feel the
freshness of a well-serviced car). Cost of spares are just
EXORBITANT. Decorative simple accessories of same quality/looks are available at reasonable prices in the general market.
3. SPARE WHEEL STORAGE: It is a nightmare to get the spare wheel out of its undercarriage rack. My wife likes to drive the vehicle but dreads it since she will never be able to get the spare wheel out. Can GM install a simple lever/turning wheel on the floor of the car for getting the spare wheel out? Punctures are a normal thing, but changing the wheel ...... a NIGHTMARE!!
