After some research & a few test drives of cars in the category Rs 5 lacs to Rs 8 lacs, i zeroed down onto Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 LS limited Edition in Feb’08.
The choice was made on the following
parameters of reducing order : Looks ; Interiors & driving pleasure. Besides, my daughter & wife liked it the most amongst all options without any technical knowledge or any reason they could specify.
Though my daily average driving does not exceed 20kms, i have done Delhi - Chandigarh - Delhi a few times to know how it performs on highways / long drives.
It gives me 10kmpl & 14kmpl in city & on highways respectively. Ride ; Comfort ; Airconditioning ; Brakes ; roadgrip & maitenance costs, all , continue to remain excellent. Besides i still am in romance with the looks after 18months of ownership.
If you are condsidering it actively and plan to not sell it within a short period like less than 2yrs or so, just go for it !
