I have Aveo 1.4 base model and driven around 4800km,Purchased in December 2007.
PRONs:
1) Good Interior, compare to other car in same segment.
2) Smooth ride even on bad roads
3) AC works good and does not feel that it reduces power alot.
4) Average Milage of around 12 kmpl in city drive with AC running. not measured on highways. Honday city will surely give better but also more money. :)
5) My Mirrors have been still intact even after being hit many times but it turns both way, which normally breaks is other cars.
6) Good Boot space
CONS :
1) Big "A pliers" obstuct driver’s view, so beware of blind spots.
2) Real Hard Gears, heard that its connected to gearbox via cables, not directly connected
3) It occasially looses it gears i.e goes to netrual when it bumps in some big pothole,
4) Back door rubber gave off due to summer heat, rest 3 door’s rubber are still intact.
5) wiper / turn indicators on opposite side when compared to regular cars in India.
6) Brakes- Average Breaking, (no ABS) Car does not loose its stability, but does not comes to halt in short distance.

Dealer : I had purhcased from Triump(Delhi), who had given great discount,but dealer not customer oriented. Maruti dealers are much better. If you have short listed AVEO then try AutoVikas, and try to push for good deal. Don’t forget to ask for Corporate Discount(if slaried) and freebies.
I have driven on speed of around 130 and car had good grip on road and stable.
Car is surely value for money, and love to drive it.ads

- Aveo Seems to be doing great till now.
- Its seems that ground clearnace should be more for indian roads, Its bottom touches high bumps on road.
- It performed great even on hilly road, due to its good engine power,
- have to get it wheel aligned once.
- Incase your tyre gets puncher, it will like nightmare to replace tyre, reason:- RUST on rim where tyre is mounted, so better carry some oil lubricant which can help to remove tyre from rusted rim.
