I own an Aveo for last 4 months and have driven it for bit more than 2000 KMs.
Interior is very good; best in its segmentOverall exterior look is best in its segment.

Cabin space is very good; sufficient for comfortable seating of front and rear passengers. Fiesta is a bit congested and the seats are uncomfortable. Aveo seats provide good thigh support but Fiesta seats appeared like baby seats to me though I am not a fat person.

I don’t drive over 80KM/ Hr speed. So don’t know how it will be beyond that speed. But up till 80 KM/Hr the car is very stable. Controlling the car is easier. Pick up is good and I have not seen any pickup problem when the AC is on.

Head lamps are a bit weaker.

No noise in the gear box. However, if you touch the gear knob and take pick up, you will feel significant vibration of the knob. I think this is a Chevrolet problem.

Cabin is a bit noisy, don’t know about Fiesta as I drove it in city conditions (in noise) but the cabin could have been made a bit silent.

AC is powerful. I use it regullarly; it cools the cabin within a few minutes even when the regulator is in 1 position.

Currently I am getting mileage of 10-12 KMs/Ltr; I drive in regular traffic jams J. The service guys say it will improve after the second servicing. Lets see.

Boot space is very good.

Suspensions are very good and makes the ride a pleasure even in bad roads.Brakes are a bit weaker. But I think any car without disc brakes in all the four wheels is going to have this problem.

 


I preferred this car after a lot of study.

Ford parts are very costly and maintenance cost of Fords are comparatively high. Poor seats and interior of fiesta also dejected me.

I was not certain How Hyundai Verna would do in the market (and you have seen that I is not doing good) so considering  the re-sell value factor I rejected it.

Some people are suspicious about GM because of their history of withdrawing Corsa. I think it roots to feeing up the assembly lines to introduce Chevrolet. I did a bit research on internet to find out if they are going to discontinue Aveo in any country. Though I could not find much but felt bit comfortable after reading many articles.
