   I own a chevy aveo since feb end 2007(Aveo 1.4). I was thinking of upgrading from my maruti zen to swift/uva/getz. However,

seeing the chevrolet aveo package(features,ineterior / exterior looks and pricing) and having a test drive, I decided on the Aveo 1.4.

          

Based on my budget, I compared with fiesta 1.4P. I have driven fiesta also. But looks,interiors and comfort level is high in aveo. Fiesta gear shift ,and engine response at low gears, is better to aveo.But aveo response is better to fiesta at top speeds(top gears). City mileage, I read many reviews reflecting it is almost the same.Few reviews said aveo better and few other way round(diff of 0.7).Ford’s maintenance is high compared to GM.

Iam happy now that I made the right decision.

          

I have driven 6500+ km so far including two long drives(Bangalore-Trivandrum) with my family.
I have only one word to say about the car....amazing. It is super smooth, silent inside and a very comfortable drive.A/C is powerful.Good ground clearance and an excellent suspension.
Mileage 15.8 in highway(with a/c).Bangalore traffic(I travel every day on the busiest hosur road ) it varies from 9.5 to 10.5 (with a/c). (most of the times I found it as 9.94).
I’m seeing in other reviews about people getting more mileage with the same variant car. May be my driving practises :( and road conditions.

 A very good car at a very good price. That’s my opinion.If anybody is going on for a hatchback(Swift,Uva or Getz) my advice is  if possible to put a bit extra more, go in for Aveo 1.4.

 Cons: Horn size on the steering wheel is small .Gear shift from 1st to 2nd sometimes is       notchy.Iam very much used to that now.
        
I have a feeling that GM is not marketing Aveo properly!!! Such a nice car and good pricing.
