The Chevrolet Beat facelift is the first major upgrade for the American automaker’s compact offering since it was brought into the market in early 2010. The new car has got mostly cosmetic changes both inside and outside but remains the same mechanically. It is available in 10 variants and with two engine options. Interior of the new-generation Chevrolet Beat has been revealed in new spy pictures. Unlike the current model, the new Chevrolet Beat 2017 has a dual tone beige and black interior along with a new instrument cluster with chrome accents, a new center console design with larger HVAC vents and silver trim, fabric beige seats and chrome bezel HVAC vents. One of the major highlights of the car have emerged as a new 7-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system that is most likely to be offered only on the top-spec model of the hatchback.
New Chevrolet Beat launched date: In India, the new-generation Chevrolet Beat is likely to go on sale in the first half of 2017. Though, the company hasn’t yet confirmed launch details of the car. Price: base model ?3.5 Lakh to 4.5 Lakh. The existing petrol variants are available within price range of Rs 4.5 lakh – Rs 5.9 lakh ( ex-showroom, Delhi) . On the other hand, the diesel engine models of the new Beat could be priced around Rs 5 lakh – Rs 6.5 lakh.

While the platform might remain unchanged, the new Chevrolet Beat 2017 has gone through some design changes and looks more appealing. Though the overall shape of the car looks identical to the current one. The hatchback’s new-gen model carries Chevrolet’s new signature two-part grille with chrome surrounds on the lower part of it. Upfront, the car gets new headlamp clusters. Save for the new creases and lines, the overall side profile of the car remains largely unchanged. Though there are no pictures of the rear of the vehicle, it is likely to get slightly revised tail-lamps with LED inserts and re-positioned license plate. Interior:
Unlike the current Beat’s cabin that embraces single tone colour theme with silver inserts around three-spoke steering wheel and dashboard. The Chevrolet Beat 2017 might come with dual-tone dashboard. The hatchback’s new dual tone beige and black interior with fabric beige seats looks quite sporty. New Chevrolet Beat car's Engine & Transmission: As mentioned above, the new Chevrolet Beat 2017 might continue to carry the same – i.e. 1.0-litre, three-cylinder diesel mill that’s good for 57bhp and 150Nm of torque. Though, the petrol mill will be a new one – 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder – which is likely to be the downsized version of the Spark’s 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder engine. Having said that, the company also has an option to retain the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine that belts out 79bhp of power and 108Nm of torque. Transmission on offer will remain the same – i.e. 5-speed manual.
