I wrote another review about U-VA just last week. While I am happy with the car, its performance, design, etc.; I am a little confused about rating the dealer. I don't say they are not courteous or dealt badly. No. They did it all right till the time I bought this car. My sales person was good, smart and provided enough information and comparisons to convince me to buy this car. Another reason was a great deal. I got a really good deal at Regent Automobile, Mathura Road.

Unfortunately, my first impression of Regent Auto's Service Station, Okhla Ph 1, Delhi isn't good. See, I already have a Maruti car and Maruti has made it a habit to get good service. Now, candidly speaking, GM still has to work hard to reach Maruti's customer service levels.

Today I went for the Reassurance Check-up of my car which is done after a month of car purchase. I expected a nicely done garage as I see at Marketing Times of Maruti Delhi. Anyways, so I was given a number for service and Service Advisor came and asked me if there was any issues in the car. Snce there was none, he told me it will take around one & half hours. There were some minor scratches on the back door of the car. I asked if that can be rubbed, advisor denied. Now, another came and asked me why don't I get the anti-rust coating done. And I saw some more advices coming along with costs. So, I could sense they were more interested in selling the stuff than servicing the car.

I waited in the customer lounge. Unfrtunately they do not ask for tea, coffee or water as Maruti people do. After another hour or so I asked if the car was done and I was told it may take 30 to 45 minutes. After few minutes I saw my car cleaned, and outta curiosity I asked another service advisor if that was done. He replied in acceptance. So, the estimate was wrong.

I decided to have a cursory look at the car and there was a dent at the left front door. I called service advisor and asked about it. Initially he said it was already there, later, when I started losing my tmper, they accepted it happened on the spot. No one, including Workshop Manager, was apologetic. They simply tried to get it rubbed with some kinda solution. It didn't work. However, it worked on those minor scratches that Advisor said can be done with a coating that would have costed me 2000.00.

My new car has a dent in the middle of the door. Service Center is not sorry for that and asking me to come any other day so that they can work on it. They cleaned the dashboard so good that while driving back, my costly perfume dropped from dashboard and leaked from the bottle. I am really really upset with these guys.

GM must work on customer service, else they'll lose the business.
