We recently took a trip to Kedarnath and Badrinath May 13, 2011, Booking code BKA through Chennai Panickers.
After we reached Delhi only we came to know that Chennai Panickers is not the original Panickers. Our tour was subleased to a third party. Owner of Chennai Panicker, Mr. Venu Panicker is different from Delhi Panicker's Original properitor Venu Panicker.
Chennai Panicker's Venu Panicker the owner didnt had the list of traveller and only in the last minute did he have the list collected from us fellow passengers.
The driver didnt have a green card a mandatory requirement to drive the hilly terrain. We lost one day as the driver had gone missing and they have to get a new driver.
We didnt have a panicker bus, but a third rated bus called Kumar, which had flat tyres in most of the trip.
The tour guide muthu didnt have any knowledge of the terrain we where travelling. At critical situtation when we called Venu Panicker, he used to switch of his mobile.
We where threatened that they will drop us off at Gaurikund if we questioned too much.
The age group of the members was 65+ and small children, we where put in a accomodation in 4th floor with no lift. People with heart problem had to suffer because of this.
Chennai panicker booked us rooms which didnt have hot water and the room accomodation was pathetic.
In one our accomodation at Chamoli, our food was distributed to non-travellers of the trip and the yatris i.e, we travellers of Chennai panicker had to go hungry and tired.
Please dont choose Chennai panickers at any cost.
We even didnt visit Rudraprayag, Devprayag and Joshimath as Chennai Panickers lost our days in flat tyres and telling us no permit has been received and the driver who was originally hired even didnt have a green card. Chennai panicker is oversmart and doesnt care for customers and left us in grave danger.
On our way back to Delhi, since we picked a lot of fights with the tour operator Muthu, Venu panicker refused us accomodation at Delhi and we had to find our own accomodation at Delhi.
Please dont pay full amount to Panickers at the start of the trip. Venu Panicker is a cheat and doesnt even care what we Yatris go through.
Humble request dont ever choose Chennai Panickers.
