What do you expect from a film whose title itself proclaims that it is not worth more than two stars?But after having watched this disaster of a movie , I realized the makers were grossly over rating their product for 'Chatur Singh Two Star' does not even deserve a zero star rating .Seriously where does one begin to find its fault ?What were they thinking during the making of this film ?Why was this film even made in the first place ?So many questions crossed my mind as I finished watching this movie in a near empty theatre .Chatur Singh Two Star definitely ranks amongst the worst Bollywood I have ever seen right up there in the allay of Tees Maar Khan and RGV KI AAG!
The film narrates the story of a police officer named Chatur Singh (Sanjay Dutt) who is good for nothing and absolutely goofy .He manages to mess up just about everything .He is assigned the job of providing security to the Agricultural minister(Gulshan Grover). Unfortunately the minister gets killed and his secretary (Amisha Patel) is arrested for murdering him .The rest of the film is about how Amisha and Sanju mange to reach South Africa to unlock the mystery about ministers' death and diamond worth 500 crore!
Chatur Singh Two Star is a perfect example of what is wrong with Bollywood Today .There are thousands of scripts which deserve to be told but they die an innocent death due to lack of funds and finance .But trashy story like this gets made with crores of money being pumped into them .
The film claims to be a comedy but in reality its an absolute tragedy .The comic scenes are absolutely juvenile , boring and mind numbing .They actually make you cry .
Ajay Chandhok continues with his absymal record of film making .Having directed disasters like Nehle Pe Dehla(2007) , Kisse Pyaar Karoon (2009), Team The Force(2009) , one expected him to learn from his previous mistakes but this turns out to be his worst film so far .He has given the word 'mindless' a whole new meaning with a story that has neither head nor tail .There are bad movies and horrible movies but never before in my life I have seen a film like this which takes Bollywood to a new low .I have the patience to sit through any kind of movies no matter how bad they are but with 'Chatur Singh Two Star'I gave up after 15 minutes .I spent the entire second half playing a video game in my mobile .
But its the climax which makes it the strongest contender for the Razzies .The entire suspense angle vis-a-vis minister's death and the identity of real killer is a complete farce .It completely kills the film.
For Sanjay Dutt , Chatur Singh Two Star is the worst moment in his career .The actor hams like a moron and irrititates the hell out of you .This performance is so embarrassing that Sanju fans are sure to be ashamed of being his fans .Is this the same actor who gave gems like Vaastav , Naam and Khalnayak .Also the actor looks haggard , bloated and washed out .
Amisha Patel was actually far better when compared to Sanju .She looks gorgeous and sexy .Her performance is not that bad either .Suresh Menon is moronic and unbearable .Gulshan Grover is as usual .
Overall a complete disaster of a movie .Bangning your head under the wall for 3 continous hour would be far more entertaining than this film.
