This is a Story about a Man, who could love only once
in his lifetime.
The Book starts at the end of his life.
His wife Maeve, is sitting in a Bar-and-grill,
somewhere in the Bronx, New York.
She has just buried her Husband Billy.
And is waiting for the rest of the mourners
to join her there.
Maeve was a plain and simple woman.
She had spent most of her married life,
putting up with all the Drunken goings on,
of Billy Lynch(her Husband)
Everyone had loved Billy.
He was a great guy, and kind to everyone.
He was an aspiring Poet, and loved being with his many friends.
He made his living working in a Shoe Store!
But the Alcohol had ruined his life
and the lives of the people around him.
The story is told, as the mourners at the bar-and-grill
reminisce about his life.
He had a great love, Eva.
She broke his heart. She deceived him,
took his money, and married another man.
Billy, never really recovered.
He married Maeve, He loved her to a point.
But couldn't get over the loss of Eva.
The only woman, he was able to give his heart to.
Billy never really got over Eva.
He turned to the Drink even more, untill it destroyed him.
Its a really interesting Book,
about an Irish Man, and his Irish friends in America.
