Was bored , so decided to write a review in MouthShut!
Boredom invariably leads to hunger , and hunger leads to the reminiscences of those good hotels.
And i was reminded of my experience
at Chandni Chowk , Koramangala , Bangalore (Im hungry now!)
We went there , last week i think. As a family. After scouting throughout the city , thanks to Bangalores wonderful one-ways and traffic signals.
Landed there , at the spot , when i was at the verge of getting sick listening to Radio City , Radio Mirchi and Radio One (in that order), all playing the same songs again and again.
Anyway , coming back...
The hotel , at first sight , looked , what shall i say ,
unappealing , what with red walls and bulbs highlighting the words Chandni Chowk
But once we entered , our doubts were put to rest , by the cheerfully loud music and the posters of Rani Mukherjee , Madhuri Dixit , Ameesha Patel , Aishwarya Rai , Kareena Kapoor and Rekha staring at us while we shuffled the stones laid on the pathway with some difficulty and made our way towards the granite benches , in a room illuminated by beautiful mini-chandeliers and red dupattas as curtains.
Overall , it was fun.
The food came in pretty fast , and the cloth menu cards are a good idea , except for the fact , that red and green colour ones are difficult to read...And boy , the prices are expensive!
We had a wonderful lunch , with blaring music and Bollywood actresses (again!) staring at us.
It was great. But they could improve some things , like more variety in the desserts , and less blaring music , and a better cushion for those hard granite benches *ouch!*
But , one cant have everything. So heres a
9.5/10 for Chandni Chwok!
And now , i am hungry again , so i will stop here... &nb
